Rs seven billion allocated for uplift projects in Pakistan: UK

RAWALPINDI (July 19 2010): The government of United Kingdom has allocated a sum of Rs 7 billion for materialising various development projects in Pakistan and it would continue helping Pakistan, said British High Commissioner Adam Thompson.

Addressing a reception hosted by UK Minister Ms Sayeeda Warsi at Beol, he said British government has also pledged 80 million pounds for the promotion of education in Punjab including Beol. The interest of UK in Pakistan could be gauged from the fact that four important ministers have visited Pakistan in a short span of time, he said.
