SIALKOT (July 18 2010): President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Muhammad Ishaq Butt has said that the worst electricity load shedding was damaging the production of industrial sector of this export-oriented city and hub of cottage industry of the country.
Talking to reporters on Saturday night here he said the duration of load shedding has been suddenly enhanced to 14 hours from 6 hours as a result of which the production ratio has been decreased and business community was unable to fulfil its foreign commitments well in time, he said.
The SCCI President said that the load shedding schedule of Wapda has become a mockery. The domestic consumers, old people and patients were also suffering adversely but the government had failed to provide any relief to the common man he said. Ishaq Butt appealed to President, Prime Minister and Federal Power and Water Minister to stop the further brutalities and take immediate steps for stopping prolong unscheduled outages.
